We are a boutique, service-oriented firm, but we can bring large resources and the brightest minds to our portfolios. For example, we buy the majority of our stocks from Dimensional Fund Advisors (“DFA”). DFA manages over $150 billion of assets for institutional investors. DFA does not serve the retail market. Multiple Nobel Prize winners serve on their board, bringing unparalleled sophistication to the firm. Over long periods of time, DFA has developed a highly scientific approach that outperforms typical index investing without making bets on a small number of stocks. We are one of only a few firms in Denver to have access to DFA funds.
